Safety and credentials

Who runs the training, what rules we jump and shoot under. This page is for anyone who puts their safety in our hands — including foreign groups and commanders who need the paperwork to approve attendance.

Training organisation

D&S Tactics s.r.o. (Drills & Skills Tactics), company ID 220 87 966, registered office Oblekovická 123/83, 671 81 Znojmo, Czech Republic. The company was founded in 2024 by army veterans with experience from overseas deployments. Training is delivered in Czech, English and German.

Airborne training is conducted at the Parachute Training Centre 102. SVO. Shooting training takes place at commercial shooting ranges with their own range regulations, under constant instructor supervision; participants without a firearms licence shoot rental firearms using our ammunition only. Before training, each participant signs a declaration.

Airborne operations

  • Parachute: MC1-1D — US military steerable round canopy, deployed by static line; training and jumps use the same type as airborne units.
  • Reserve parachute: MIRPS, 180-day repack interval.
  • Airfields: primarily Mladá Boleslav (LKMB), also Hořovice (LKHV) and Jičín (LKJC).
  • Aircraft and operator: An-2; operators Aeroklub Mladá Boleslav and Aeroklub Hořovice.
  • Airborne instructor: Lima — over 9,400 jumps, three years in command and instructor positions; runs the training from ground school to solo jumps. Over 25 years of experience in airborne operations: static line and free fall jumps, water jumps, night jumps, jumps with equipment, weapons and cargo containers, high-altitude jumps with oxygen equipment and test jumps. Qualifications D, H, H-T and jumpmaster, issued by the Czech Civil Aviation Authority (ÚCL).
  • Participant medical fitness: Class 2 medical fitness certificate, minimum age 15. The participant proves it with the paper original of a certificate bearing the doctor's stamp.
  • Jump decision: the instructor decides whether a jump goes ahead based on the weather and operating conditions; this is what the fourth, reserve day of the course is for.

Shooting training

  • Instructor: Mike — 16 years of army service, from basic posts to senior warrant officer, from infantry to reconnaissance, Iraq deployments (2 rotations), graduate of 21 army courses.
  • Instructor-to-participant ratio: 1 : 2 — one instructor per two participants at most.
  • Safety rules: safety on the range is governed by the range operating rules, by the internal regulation subordinate to them and by the specific instructions of the range officer or the officer conducting the fire. The four basic rules of safe firearms handling apply to everyone without exception; a breach means the end of the training with no refund.
  • Firearms and ammunition: rental firearms are the property of D&S Tactics and are registered in the Czech central firearms register (CRZ); only our ammunition is used in rental firearms.

For foreign groups and unit commanders

On request we will prepare, in English or German:

  • a commander's information sheet (who runs the training, where, on what equipment, what the medical conditions are),
  • a certificate of training completion and number of jumps for each participant,
  • the safety briefing for participants,
  • direct contact to the airborne instructor: lima@dstactics.com.

A note on badges: graduates receive a training certificate. Whether foreign parachutist badges may be worn on uniform is governed by each army's own regulations.

FAQ

What people ask us

Why don't you give the instructors' names?

Instructors go by their callsigns. That is standard for people from the security community — we document qualifications and experience, not identity.

Can I request the authorisation documents in advance?

Yes. Write to info@dstactics.com and we will send them before you book.

What if I don't feel up to the jump?

Nobody forces you onto the aircraft. Both the instructor and you decide whether you jump; unused jumps can be completed on another date.
